Inductive proximity switches with increased sensing range provide greater protection against mechanical damage to the sensor.

Proximity switches with increased sensing range made by ifm electronic are designed ta meet the requirements for flush and non-flush mounting ta standard. In the case of flush mounting proximity switches are normally influenced by the surrounding material. The special construction and material selection of the sensor prevent this ta a large extent so that these sensors feature a high operational safety over the whole temperature range. The high excess gain ensures a safe operation also for example in the case of deposits on the sensing face. In the case of non-flush mounting of the units the sensing range does not change.
