Set-up
The efector dualis contour sensor is mounted using the appropriate mounting set and connected to the system (plc) via the M12 process connection.
An ifm lighting element is mounted opposite to it. This ensures uniform illumination with red or infrared light. Just 9.2 mm thick, the size is considerably less than that of common systems on the market - like the price.
The trigger sensor (here: ifm photoelectric sensor type OJH) is mounted so that it detects the edge of the workpiece carrier and then switches when the workpiece is exactly in the image field of the contour sensor.
The sensor parameters are set via a USB adapter cable using a common PC: Only 6 guided steps are necessary for the efector dualis to be ready for operation - it couldn´t be easier.
