The inductive sensors type IM are specially developed for transport and conveyor systems: high sensing ranges , robust metal connectors and all in rectangular design, for very simple and fast installation.
 

Here are examples of suitable inductive sensors:
IM5066 - inductive sensor, sensing range 35 mm, output function complementary
IM5067 - inductive sensor, sensing range 20 mm, correction factor K=1
IM5053 - inductive sensor, sensing range 35 mm, output function normally open.
